ULAN Spring 2025

STATIONS
Throughout the LAN, there will be many stations available with various activities and events. Here are some that are planned, but note that other types of activities could spontaneously appear as well!
PC
Bring your desktop and/or laptop and set it up on one of our tables! There are screens and ethernet cables available for every table, so no need to bring your entire set up unless you feel like showing off!
CONSOLE
Bring your console games and play with friends! We will also have two console stations set up and available for anyone to join during the LAN.
BOARD GAMES
Bring your favourite board games to our LAN! We will also be providing some board games available for everyone during the LAN.
MAGIC: THE GATHERING
Bring your favourite MTG decks! There will be beginner friendly events throughout the LAN as well as tables available for Commander gameplay.
WARHAMMER
Bring your prized Warhammer collection. There will be opportunities to play Warhammer games, as well as paint Warhammer figures for newcomers.
MOVIES/TV
Throughout the LAN, in GTP 4-12, anyone is welcome to set up a movie or TV show they would like to watch while they relax and unwind with snacks and drinks.
FOCUS GAME
For those who are dedicated gamers and have thus decided to bring their laptop/desktop, the focus game for this LAN will be Unrailed 2!
A focus game is a game that we will focus on playing together if possible during the LAN. These games usually have a strong cooperative or competitive emphasis, utilizing the in house setting of a LAN as best as we can.
GAME DESCRIPTION:
The chaotic co-op railroad construction game is back! Team up with your friends to build a railroad through procedurally generated worlds with new biomes and bosses. Permanently upgrade your character and engine, even create your own levels - just don't let your train derail!

Team Game Challenge
Create your ultimate gaming team and take apart in multiple team game challenges! The team that scores the highest overall in our challenges will win the prize!

Learn to play Magic: The Gathering
Would you like to learn how to play MTG? We will be providing starter decks that will be available throughout the entire LAN, but specifically from 21 for an hour or two, where we will focus on helping out any new players who would like to learn the game.
SATURDAY

Magic: The Gathering Mentor sealed draft
We will do a sealed draft with a twist! Teams will be formed between a veteran magic player (Mentor), and a novice or new magic player (Student). The Mentor will act as a coach, helping the newer player build the deck and explain the game plan of the deck, while the student will get to play the deck and attend in the matches. A great event for both newer magic players and more experienced magic players!

We will begin officially cleaning and packing up the LAN at this point! Hope you all had fun and see you next LAN!
